Wood Design Awards
The 1st Annual Atlantic Wood Design Awards will recognize excellence in wood construction and design, and honor the people and organizations that showcase and promote the use of wood in our region. A jury of experts will review the nominations and chose the winners based on several factors including: creativity, distinctive use of wood materials, ability to satisfy client and site requirements, innovation and overall aesthetics. The event will be held March 25 2015 in Halifax NS.
Atlantic Awards:
- Atlantic Architect of the year
- Atlantic Engineer of the year
- Atlantic Residential project of the year
- Hybrid building of the year
Provincial Award Categories:
- Multi-Unit Residential
- Non Residential (Institutional/Commercial/Industrial)

Wood Design Seminars
These are free sessions targeted to Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Developers, Code Officials, Bureaucrats and all levels of government. Three hours of structured learning are provided at each seminar and a continuing education certificate will be issued to any willing participants. Breakfast or lunch will be provided depending on the time of the schedule. All individuals must register by the registration deadline and submit their refundable registration deposit.
