David graduated in 2016 from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing. After completing his education, he sold building materials to home builders and familiarized himself with the process to construct new buildings and the various building products available.
In early 2019 David joined the Atlantic Wood WORKS! team as the Program Coordinator where he ensures the program meets all of its objectives and works towards creating a wood culture in the Atlantic region.
Originally from Brazil, Vinny is the newest member of the Atlantic WoodWORKS! team. After his graduation as a Mechanical Engineer in 2008, Vinny worked in the oil industry for more than 7 years before moving to Canada in 2016. Once living here, he obtained his Civil Engineering Technologist diploma from the NBBC Moncton and worked as a project manager and design engineer accumulating both in management and technical experience.
Carole joined the Atlantic Wood WORKS! team in September of 2016. She has been with the Maritime Lumber Bureau since 1997 and is also the MLB Certificate of Origin Program Coordinator. Carole is an honors graduate from the NSCC with a diploma in Secretarial and Business Administration.
Kevin Merriam has been a part of the Atlantic WoodWORKS! program since its inception in 2011. Kevin has over 25 years of experience in the forestry industry, has a diploma in Forest Resource Technology, and is a graduate of the Maritime Forest Ranger School in Fredericton, NB (1997). Kevin has worked at the Maritime Lumber Bureau since 1998 and has been involved in all facets of the organization, including, Quality Control Inspector, Quality Control Manager, Special Projects Coordinator, Atlantic Wood WORKS! technical advisor, and now MLB Executive Director. Kevin represents Atlantic Canadian industry on a number of national boards and committees as the current chairman of the board for the National Lumber Authority, member of the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board Executive Committee, and a member of the Canadian Forest Products Advisory Committee.
Former Executive Director of Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, Ed provides organizational guidance and advisory services to ensure program activities are meeting the desired goals and outcomes. He is an important liaison resource with regional government partners and industry.
